Usher is generating excitement among fans for his upcoming album, thanks to a tantalizing teaser of a new song featured in a campaign alongside renowned cognac brand Rémy Martin.
In the premiere ad spot on Wednesday (July 12), Usher takes to the dance floor with a pair of skates, showcasing his impressive moves while the captivating new song, titled “Comin’ Home,” plays in the background.
Named the “Life is a Melody” campaign, this collaboration extends beyond the music realm. It encompasses the creation of pop-up roller rinks across the United States for the summer, a merchandise collaboration with Jon Stan, and the creation of captivating custom murals that will be painted in various locations throughout the country.
Usher has been the center of attention lately due to his highly successful Las Vegas residency, which has been making headlines for his flirtatious encounters with celebrity women in the audience. Keke Palmer made headlines earlier this month when her boyfriend criticized her outfit while Usher serenaded her. However, model Winnie Harlow took preemptive action to avoid a similar situation.
On Sunday (July 9), Harlow shared a fan-recorded video clip from an Usher concert she attended with her boyfriend, NBA player Kyle Kuzma. In the video, Usher can be seen approaching Harlow, just as he has done with other women during his Las Vegas residency. However, she skillfully rejected his advances.
Harlow captioned the post: “Figured out the secret to the Usher concert… sit in your man’s lap, Mamas. 😂😂💘💘 He said, ‘She Chose!!!’ Okayyyy!”
After facing significant criticism for his comments, Palmer’s boyfriend, Darius Jackson, chose to stand by his words.
In a Twitter post following the backlash, Jackson expressed his views, stating, “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”
Since then, Jackson has deactivated his Twitter account. Additionally, he removed all photos featuring Palmer from his Instagram page, although pictures of their child together still remain on his profile.
In a subsequent development, it was revealed that both Jackson and Palmer unfollowed each other on social media, indicating that a breakup was either on the horizon or had already occurred.
